"Age" Appropriate Choices

"There is always the movement...." and there are numerous angles from which to observe it. I've noticed that two viewpoints have been visited by many commentators.

For years, I've read about the waning of both the industrial age and the fossil fuels age. I've read about the incipient knowledge worker and clean tech (renewable energy) ages that are their respective replacements. I wonder how these reports have affected your thinking about doing business from now on.

Are you among the early adopters of new ways? Do you prefer to wait and see? Do you believe what has worked will go on working? What gives you comfort and confidence? What makes you uneasy and unsure?
