For Your Eyes Only?

I wrote the following this morning after reading Stephen R. Covey's latest blog. As of this writing, Dr. Covey's staff has not approved it for display. This may be an exclusive for Woburnite. I recommend reading the blog, not only my response.

"This is a wonderful reminder of the value and reality of interdependence, at a moment when trust and investment in it is the best response. Dr. Covey, I wish two things: 1) that you had repeated “community” in the second paragraph and 2) mentioned The 8th Habit. I feel confident you agree that leadership, as you there redefined it, is needed now. Without it, we’re too dependent for solutions on those who played large parts in creating the “state of insecurity and vulnerability.” As you said, creativity is more productive than is problem-solving.

Development of diverse local/regional economies is a huge opportunity and it is a great time for numerous and widespread adventures of voice. People short of capital and credit still have attention, energy, time, experience and skills to invest in arrangements they will, with their co-missioned neighbors, own and control."
